Michael Allan Boles of Gilmore City, IA was born to Barbara Campbell and Gene Boles on May 11, 1960 in Lincoln, NE. Michael had three older siblings and seven younger siblings. As brothers and sisters do they had their moments but one thing was for sure Michael loved them all. Michael had one daughter that he loved dearly. As time moved on in life, Michael gained two additional “bonus” children. Michael took them in and treated them as his own. Michael lived in between Omaha and Council Bluffs until moving in October 1994, Michael moved with his family to Gilmore City, IA for a new start on life. As life changed and new beginnings occurred Michael found Darsi, the love of his life. His love for her was true and strong. Each person who came into Michael’s life helped to mold him into the man he was. The imprint he left on all of us will carry on longer than his life on earth. Throughout his life he’s been a fighter, lover, father, brother, cousin, son, and friend. In June 2022 Michael begin the hardest fight of his life, cancer. In October 2022 he thought he won this fight. However, the cancer decided it wasn’t done with him starting in March 2023. Michael fought his hardest and showed us all the strength he had. On September 30, 2023 cancer won that fight and took Michael from this world. Michael is survived by his wife, Darsi, sons, Matthew (Kali) Wiese, Nick Kirsch, daughters, Kristy James and Jeana (Ethan) Becker, mother, Cleo Boles, seven siblings, 12 grandchildren, and so many more friends and family. Michael was proceeded in death by his mother (Barbara Campbell), father (Gene Boles), daughter (Laura Kautzky), sisters (Jeannie Campbell and Adabelle Boles), brothers (Randy Boles and Tim Boles), grandson (Dennis Zeigler), and many friends.
