It is with great sorrow that Michael Aaron Mounts, 41, of Franklin, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:35pm with his mother, brother, wife, son, daughters, niece, and sister-in-law by his side while he arduously fought his final battle with liver disease.

Michael was born on July 4, 1981, to Kevin Wayne and Donna Lynne Mounts in Indianapolis, Indiana. After earning his General Education Diploma from the State of Indiana, Michael began a career with Cardinal Manufacturing Company on the north side of Indianapolis working as a metal fabricator and installer of signs for many types of industries across the Central Indiana footprint.

After working many years with Cardinal, Michael branched out and worked in various other disciplines that included construction, plumbing, home energy assessments, and logistics.

Michael is survived by his mother Donna Lynne Mounts (McCord), who unconditionally and selflessly sacrificed her own health, finances, and emotional wellbeing over the last 21 months to care for her ailing son. Her love and sacrifice knew no boundary, no limitation, and no condition to his very end.

Michael was also survived by his brother James Richard McCord, wife, Tanya Mounts, and three children: Cody Richard Mounts (Son), Jasmine Lynne Mounts (Daughter), and Jade Marie Mounts (Daughter).

Michael is preceded in death by his half brother, Christopher Lee Mounts, father Kevin Wayne Mounts, and grandparents, Clyde Richard McCord and Wilma Dean McCord.

Michael was a strong and fierce fighter to the very end and was most proud of and cherished his three beautiful children. He loved to play golf, watch Colts football, read, had a great sense of humor, and lived life to the fullest.
