It was never a dull moment when Mike was around, he loved being the prankster!! I’m so sorry I lost touch with Mike but my memories of all his shenanigans will remain. Rest Easy Mike. You were definitely one of a kind & will be missed dearly

I went to high school at Southport with Mike. My senior year I lived with Mike and his dad. That was such a great time! He was a great friend. I just wished we had stayed in touch more. And I wish I had pictures but back then nobody took pictures like they do now. He was a great man! He will be greatly missed. But always remembered.

Michael, I have known you many years thru my daughter Laura and your brother James. The moment I meet you, I liked you a lot, you were funny, kind hearted and always had a smile on your face. Even tho you faced many hardships and obstacles in your life you still always had that beautiful smile on your face. Each time I saw you I grew to love you even more, you will always remain in my heart and the hearts of many who knew you. It was an honor to have had the opportunity to have known you! You will be greatly missed! Love you forever.. Cathy Whitis (NeNe) 💙

When I'm Gone by Mrs. Lyman Hancock

When I come to the end of my journey

And I travel my last weary mile

Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned

And remember only the smile

Forget unkind words I have spoken

Remember some good I have done

Forget that I ever had heartache

And remember I've had loads of fun

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered

And sometimes fell by the way

Remember I have fought some hard battles

And won, ere the close of the day

Then forget to grieve for my going

I would not have you sad for a day

But in summer just gather some flowers

And remember the place where I lay

And come in the shade of evening

When the sun paints the sky in the west

Stand for a few moments beside me

And remember only my best
