Micah putting on a puppet show for the kids Sunday school class shortly after we reconvened during Covid. He was the best with the kids! They adored him.

I remember him in 4th grade when I used to go to barkley he was one of my friends at the time and he was always smiling he was such a kind person and a great friend it’s sad to hear this type of news after not hearing from him in a while, may he rest in peace and my condolences to his family❤️🙏🏽
Brianne, I continue to think about you and pray for you all. I was so heartbroken to hear this news. I know we barely know each other, but we did have a long conversation at a USP event probably within the last year. I remember you describing many details about Micah (particularly his love and creativity with Legos and his witness for the Lord to others). The Lego love reminded me of my son Isaac who is a sophomore at USP, and I kept saying they'd probably get a long so well. After reading Micah's obituary, I feel that connection even more because of all of their similarities. I can only imagine the pain you're dealing with. Praise God you will reunite one day. Hoping to watch the service online while we're on vacation. Love and prayers for you all!

Jim,

I was so deeply saddened to hear of your grandson’s passing. Over the years, I’ve heard you speak of him with such warmth and pride, your eyes always lighting up when you shared a story. Today, I saw a different look in your eyes, one filled with a heaviness and an ache, a sadness no words can truly ease.

Please know that my heart goes out to you and your entire family during this time of loss. I hope you can lean on one another for strength, and find moments of peace, even a smile, as you share and cherish your memories of Micah.

With deepest sympathy,

Jamie Atiyeh

When I would babysit Micah on Tuesday nights so Bri and Tim could go to small group he wanted to sing Come thou fount before bed. Embarrassingly, as a pastors kid, I did not know that hymn. So, Micah taught it to me in his cute little voice and we sang it every bedtime I babysat him after that. That song holds a very special place in my heart because of him.

We were heartbroken to hear about the sudden passing of Micah. Although we did not know him personally, our daughter is also a senior at PALCS, and our hearts go out to your family during this unimaginable time. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

With deepest sympathy,Michele, John & Rosie Schroeck

Most of my memories of Micah are when he was younger. Over recent years, when we have had our girls’ dinner nights, I have loved hearing stories of Micah’s adventures and accomplishments. The way Bri would beam when telling me about his job at the Lego royerford store, his classes at USP, and his college search, will always stay with me.  My favorite memories of Micah are from family dinners and cookouts for the 4th of July at the Smiths and GVF picnics. I loved hearing about Micah’s plans for the “Olympic sized” pond he and Tim were building in the back yard, despite all of our concerns for breaking pville code violations! 😂 I loved how sweet Micah was to Colin throughout the middle school years when Colin was one of only a few boys their age, at church. Micah was confident and kind and reached out to Colin when he was nervous at youth group! Then, there was the time when both boys expressed interest in tennis for a bit, and Bri and I immediately enrolled them in tennis lessons, which they didn’t seem thrilled about! I remember driving Micah there and he was always so sweet about it all even through both boys were a bit overwhelmed by the rigor thrown at them. They just wanted to have fun and it was a bit too serious for them! In fact, when we left one day from the courts and walked over a bridge, the boys noticed the ice below and were SO much more excited to throw rocks and break the ice than to play tennis again! We hung out for a bit after lessons to just throw rocks. So much more their speed!! We will miss him so much and will love your family through this hard time and forever!!!

We were heartbroken when we heard of Micah's passing and now think of you often with compassion and tenderness. We remember Micah as we saw him about a month ago- enthusiastic, energetic, playful, excited, and fully engaged in many activities with my kids and our families. Wishing you the peace and comfort that passes understanding during this immensely difficult time, and so thankful for Micah and your faith in our everlasting and always faithful God. We definitely don't always understand His ways, but are confident He will be with you everyday in the journey ahead. Sending prayers, love and hugs your way.

I didn't know Micah very well, but that just speaks to how great of an impression he left on people. He was such a pleasure to work with and talk to in class, and there was always something missing from the days he wasn't at school. I am so sorry for your loss, he will be greatly missed.
