Shelley's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Meta "Shelley" Wolfe. Shelley was a beacon of light who entered this world in 1963, and departed peacefully on the afternoon of December 29, 2024, at the age of 61. She was surrounded by her immediate family whom she loved more than anything.

Shelley was predeceased by her parents, James N. Wolfe Sr. and Mary Wolfe, who instilled in her a deep love for family and a resilient spirit that she carried throughout her life. She is survived by her caring sister, Bonnie Mitchum, and husband Steve Mitchum; her supportive brother, James N. Wolfe Jr., and wife Cheryl Wolfe; her beloved niece, Tabitha Shaver (Tyler Horney); and her cherished nephew, Phillip Shaver (Hailey Bruton). Shelley is also survived by her beloved great nieces and nephew, Cali, Cameryn, Chandler, Charlie, and Jayden.

A woman of immense character and spirit, Shelley was best known for her authenticity, a fun-loving attitude, and a caring nature. She was considerate, adventurous, independent, and loyal to not only her family and friends but everyone she crossed paths with.

In her youth, Shelley made the bold step to own and run her own restaurant, an accomplishment that stood as a testament to her fierce independence. Whether fishing or laughing, she was always herself, an individual filled with joy and enthusiasm for life. Her favorite vacation spots, the beach and Colorado, spoke volumes of her adventurous and nature-loving personality.

Shelley was a passionate woman, with affections ranging from crocheting to going on road trips. She held a special place in her heart for animals and was always surrounded by pets who reciprocated her unconditional love. However, her greatest love was reserved for her family and friends, to whom she was deeply committed.

Shelley's lessons, like "slow down and enjoy life," will echo in the minds of those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and laughter that will forever be treasured by her family and friends.

To know Shelley was to be endlessly enriched by her unwavering kindness, quick wit, and perpetual zest for life. She will be profoundly missed, and her memories will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
