A Man who makes this world a better place than he found it has lived a good life. Merv Parker is such a Man. We've traveled a few miles together and it has been a blessing to count Merv  as a true and loyal friend.    John C. Clark

Merv was definitely one of the good guys and should still be with us today.  He is missed by all who knew him and were lucky enough to be called friend.  Keep 'em rollin' on that hiway to heaven
When in Texas he and my father in law got together and he had the patience to sit there as Bill showed him his coin collection.
Always a kind and caring Masonic Brother
Happy Birthday Merv. I was always happy to see yall and share a Dr.Pepper

I just saw the Acadia Bulletin and read of Merv's death. He was in one of my classes at Acadia, but I know him best from the Provost corps.

What a life well lived! He was always interested in policing and security, and to follow that all his life was truly amazing. My condolences to his family. You were indeed fortunate to have lived with someone whose life had such direction and purpose.

Merv was my mentor at Georgian College - he taught us well about Emergency Planning and I hope what he taught us is being used around the country to help with the Covid 19 pandemic...

To Beverly and all Merv's extended family my sincere condolences on the loss of a great man who was a mentor and friend - take good care and when the tears come when you deal with your loss - remember the good times and Merv will be laughing with you from his Heavenly perch...

Take good care,
Trooper
Remembering Merv on his BIRTHDAY.
He was a good mason and friend. I enjoyed his visits to Lytton Springs lodge and his friendship with me, and Bill Atwell.
It is so sad that such a great man is gone. We are sorry that we met him so late in his life. He was an incredible human being and an accomplished man who spread joy and goodness wherever he went. It was an honour to know him for that short time and we are looking forward to spending time with his fabulous wife, Beverly.

There was a large turnout on a very stormy day for his fitting memorial service at the Shelburne Legion with all the rituals, tributes and honours he earned. He was much loved!!
So greatly saddened to hear of Merv's passing today. I do find a bit of solace in knowing however that in heaven there is now an MP standing before St. Peter, directing the masses to their audience in heaven. Rest easy Soldier and thanks for your friendship, I shall miss you.

Merv was a great friend to our father Stan Holt and to our family. Merv worked part time with our Dad on the Middleton Police Dept. and had his early exposure to policing. They enjoyed their time together so many years ago. Rest in peace.

The Photo of Merv in a Jeep. This photo was taken at the Buda Texas Parade in 2019.
He was well received by everyone. Merv was a Member of the Lone Star Military Vehicle Preservation Asso. Merv was a Veteran of the Vietnam war serving as a Canadian MP.
Dear Beverley,

I learned this A.M. from our mutual friend Lucien, of Mervin's passing. We were colleagues with Mervin in DFAIT for about five years. He was a pleasure to work with, displaying his sense of good values, determination and a strong work ethic.

His departure from this life will grant him the peace of existence without pain. He will long be a favourite memory for me.

We were so sorry to hear about Merv. We had a wonderful time with him and Beverly in Jasper in 2017. He had so many great stories. I know he will be missed.
