Merrill Lowell (Bud) Morse Jr., 78 years old, of Standish Maine passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Merrill passed away as a result of Alzheimers.
Merrill was born on June 22, 1944 in Portland, Maine to parents Merrill Lowell Morse Sr. and Iva M (Wing) Morse.
Merrill graduated from Portland High School and spent the better part of 50 plus years driving tractor trailer trucks for several companies; including Red Star, Nelson Freight-way and Jones Express. Merrill's favorite activities included bowling, hunting, reminiscing about the ‘good old days’, relaxing with his dogs and spending quality time with his family, especially his several grandchildren. Merrill was a kind soul and had the biggest heart this world has ever seen. He would do anything for anyone.
Merrill is predeceased by his parents, four sisters;Mrs. Larry( Marilyn) Couch, Mrs.John (Ester) Platt, Mrs.Eugene (Phyllis) Mackenzie and Mrs.Allen(Leona) White, and his brother Merrill.
Merrill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan (Thompson) Morse of Standish, his daughters; Lori(Leon) Smith of Falmouth, Patti Geeting of Falmouth, Kayla Morse of Standish, his sons; Joshua(Heather) Legere of Windham, Andrew Legere of Standish, Adam(Ana) Legere of Windham, and his grandchildren; Chelsea Geeting, Jordan(Kaitlyn) Geeting, Karbia Smith, MJ (Mahayla) Smith, Brady Legere, Abigail Morse, Brooke Legere, Elijah Morse, Ariana Legere and Tucker Legere, His great-grandchildren; Martin and Vera, and his dog Duke.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 11, 2022 at the Windham American Legion 35 Veterans Memorial Dr, Windham, Maine from 1PM-4PM. Everyone is welcome to join us in hearing his Eulogy and share their favorite memories and celebrate the life Merrill lived. If anyone wants to help, they are more than welcome to bring a dish of their choice and can coordinate with Merrill's daughter Kayla Morse.
