Merrill Kenneth Morgan “Ken”

January 19, 1959 – February 19, 2025

King George, Virginia

Merrill Kenneth Morgan “Ken,” age 66, was a long-time resident of King George County, Virginia. He passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital – the very place where his journey began on January 19, 1959. He attended King George County Public Schools and proudly served the U.S. Navy for four years. Following his military service, Ken worked for Virginia Electric Power Company in Dumfries, Virginia, and later in life joined Birchwood Power Plant in King George, Virginia where he dedicated himself to his well-earned retirement. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch sports (car racing, football, and golf). Ken was a loving, attentive husband, and father whose generosity knew no bounds. His kindness and humor brought joy to all who knew him. He was married to Robin (Painter) Morgan for 44 years and they had a strength together that will exceed time.

Merrill “Ken” Morgan is survived by his wife Robin J. Morgan of King George, VA., his two children, Crystal L. Morgan, Kenneth W. Morgan (Katja), both of King George, VA, and one stepson, Nevada J. Norton (Kim) of Caroline, VA. He was a proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Austin M. Burnette, Joshua K. Morgan, and Morgan J. Burnette, all from King George, VA. Ken was a cherished stepfather to three step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Norton, Jacob Norton, and Nova Norton. He is also survived by one brother and sister, James Morgan “Jimmy” of Alabama, and Virginia (Morgan) Burchell “Ninny” (Howard) of King George, VA, who remained a constant source of love and support throughout his life. Ken also had many nieces, great grandchildren, nephews, and other family relatives that he showered with love and support.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, James K. Quesenbury, and Ruth V. Morgan, both of King George, VA, his two sisters, Mary (Morgan) Sheets of Caroline, VA., Carla (Morgan) Murray “Ruthie” of Alabama, and his one brother, Robert Morgan “Wayne” of King George, VA.
