Mr. Mengistu Assefa was born on June 21, 1962, to his parents, Mr. Assefa Gebrekidan Buta and Mrs. Abebech Geda, in the town of Yirgacheffe within the Sidamo region. Throughout his life, he remained an obedient son to his parents and a deeply loving brother to his two sisters and four brothers.
