Melvin is one of the most loving men I have come to know.  He loved his grandmother Miss Maggie Powell and Miss Isabelle Fisher.  After becoming an adult, he consistently checked on them and never failed to tell them how much he loved them.  I never had a conversation with Melvin where his kids were not part of his conversation.  He   expressed his love and commitment towards them at every opportunity.  He was very generous with his time and resources.  His faith was strong, and his desire was to serve our Lord and Saviour.  My love for him is unwavering.  I am fortunate and blessed he is part of my life.
