Melvin's obituary

In koving Memory of Melvin Kopp

July 4, 1941-October 12, 2025 πŸ’”πŸ™πŸ©΅

✝️ In Scripture, the number 9 represents divine completeness and finality.

Jesus surrendered His spirit at the ninth hour (Mark 15:34–37), bringing His redemptive work on earth to completion.

Spiritually, this hour signifies the moment when earthly labor ends and eternal peace begins β€” the passage from pain to promise, from faith to fulfillment.

The nine fruits of the Spirit β€” love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23) β€” reflect the spiritual maturity Melvin carried in his walk with God. His life overflowed with these fruits, touching everyone who knew him.

In the quiet early morning of October 12 at 3:00 a.m., heaven opened to receive Melvin home.

That sacred hour β€” when night meets dawn β€” mirrors the moment of Jesus’ ninth hour, when His work was finished and peace reigned.

At that very time, earth stood still and eternity began. The faithful servant had completed his race, and the Lord whispered, β€œWell done.”

As Scripture says in 2 Timothy 4:7–8:

β€œI have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.”

Melvin’s journey β€” years of courage, faith, and quiet strength β€” reached its divine completion in that holy hour.

His Legacy of Love ❀️

Melvin’s greatest joy was his family β€” the heart of his every prayer and the center of his strength.

He is lovingly survived by his children:

Jeff Kopp, Anna Bahr, Darren Kopp, and Brian Kopp and their spouses.

He was a proud and devoted grandfather to

Robby, Ashley, Jenny, Kristen, Jeffrey, Jason, Jace, Gracie, Adrianna, Nick, and Alexia β€”

each a reflection of his love, wisdom, and quiet example of faith.

Through them, his legacy continues β€” steadfast, kind, and full of grace.

β€œLord Jesus, You brought to completion the good work You began in Your servant Melvin.

Thank You for a life that reflected Your grace, for love that endures beyond time, and for faith that never wavered.

As You received him in peace that morning, receive our hearts in gratitude β€”

for a father, a friend, and a faithful warrior who now rests in Your everlasting light.”

A Memorial will be held at a later date to be determined πŸ™
