Melvin's obituary

Melvin Brown was gifted to us on July 29, 1973, to Ms.Nellie Christian Brown and the late Melvin Brown. He was affectionately known as “Big Man”, “Paco”, and “ML”. Melvin earned his wings on April 1, 2021. Man grew up in the Lynwood Park Community where he was raised by his grandmother Bobbie Lee Brown (who proceeded him by death) and she didn’t play. Melvin joined the Lynwood Park UCOGIC under Bishop and Mother Carter, where he gave his life to Christ at a young age.

Melvin attended Chamblee High School and graduated in 1991. He was an employee at United States Gypsum for many years and later became a certified Welder. Man worked until his health started to decline. Even thru sickness Man enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He loved to fish, his music, and putting it in the wind.

Melvin leaves to celebrate his life, his mother Ms. Nellie Christan Brown, his sister Tamasha, his twin brothers Dermaine (Renee), and Jermaine Brown. His nephews Damian (scrappy) Loyal Zaid Brown, his nieces Iesha, and Salisha (BTB) Brown. Uncles Donald and Curtis Brown. His aunts Dorothy(Charles) Sturdivant, Yvonne Wright, Georgette Walker, Gladys Brooks, Christine(Frank) Dumas, Helen(Michael) Hightower, Brenda Bell, and Charlene (Bip) Christian. Also his best friend Allene Jackson, Alyearia (his baby girl) Hamm, Jamrian (Bump) Roberts. A host of wonderful and awesome cousins. Man Brown has EARNED his wings. He never complained always lived life to the fullest. He had an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He will truly be missed and always remembered. WE LOVE YOU MELVIN LAMAR REST EASY!
