Melody Russell joined her Lord and Savior March 4, 2022, at the age of 65. Melody was born in Fort Worth, TX but lived in Granbury during her retirement. She spent 25 years with the US. Post Office. Melody was a true matriarch and always made sure her children knew how loved they were and showed them what true unconditional love is. As much as she adored being a mother, being a grandmother brought her even more joy. Her grandchildren brought her so much happiness and she adored spending her time with them. She left a lasting impression of kindness and compassion on everyone she met.

Melody was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Cox and brother, Steve Cox.

She is survived by her father, James Cox; Husband: Victor Russell; Children: Shawn Speck and his wife, Heather Speck; Ryan Hawkins and his wife, Nora Hawkins; Grandchildren: Christian Speck, Jordan Speck, Evelyn Hawkins, Nathan Hawkins, Mason Murphree, and Kenneth Frakes; and friends and extended family that are too numerous to list.
