Melissa DeLong Campbell, 68, of West Chester PA., died Friday September 5, 2020 after prolonged treatment for metastatic breast cancer. She was the wife of the late Bruce A. Campbell. Born in Pottstown, PA, Melissa was the daughter of the late Warren F. DeLong and Florence Calkins DeLong. As a graduate, career dietician, Melissa worked at various medical facilities in eastern Pennsylvania. She continued in her career until health issues in December 2019 required retirement from work. Melissa was in the presence of caring hospital staff and long time friend Gail Volz, who arranged a last good-by hospital phone call with relatives, when she passed peacefully at Chester County/Penn Medicine Hospital, West Chester Pa. Melissa is survived by bothers Larry DeLong family of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio and Allyn DeLong family of Carmel, Indiana. Remembrance of Melissa through donation to the American Cancer Society is suggested.
