Joyce's obituary

Melba Joyce (Cavallin) Kainer, age 85 of Port Lavaca, Texas, departed this life to begin the journey to her heavenly home on November 22, 2022. She entered the world in San Antonio, Texas on April 19, 1937 and dearly blessed the lives of her loving parents, Guy L. and Minnie E. (Abrahamson) Cavallin of Olivia, Texas, both who preceded her in death. Joyce, as she preferred to be called and as her name implies, brought joy to the lives of her family and friends, as well as to her customers and colleagues at First National Bank of Port Lavaca, where she worked from 1957 up to her retirement at age 65.

Joyce loved music/dancing, the beach, fishing, being outdoors and visiting with everyone. In her later years, she was a resident at both Trinity Shores Assisted Living then Bethany Senior Living in Port Lavaca. She is survived by her daughter, Jocelyn (Daniel) Fall, her grandchildren, Jordan S. Fall and Donovan (Erika) Fall and her great-granddaughter, Ellieanna.

A celebration of her life will take place in Olivia, Texas at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please consider mailing a donation in her memory to either the Olivia Community Association or the Olivia Cemetery Fund, in care of Gina Janis, 50 CR 304E, Port Lavaca, TX 77979
