I take comfort in knowing I told her I loved her a few days prior. And that I seen her a couple weeks prior I helped her with her hair for her doctors appointment and helped picked up her place I’m happy I got that hug and kiss on the cheek. She was my favorite person and now she’s my second favorite person in heaven with my dad her son. I love you.
I take comfort in remembering my last outing with my mom. I picked her up in late November, and we went for a long drive to look at the Fall colors. I put her favorite music on, Neil Diamond, and we drove all afternoon in the countryside. We sang "Cracklin Rosie" together at the top of our lungs. We stopped for dinner before I took her home. It was a good day and a sweet memory to end on.
