Melanie's obituary

Melanie Reed, born in Kendallville, Indiana  to Osie and Chester Coburn on October 26th, 1959, passed February 1st, 2025.  She is survived by mother Osie and sister Jill, and her husband of thirty-two years, Timothy Reed Sr.; Nine children; Timothy II, Tarina, Christopher, Scott, Melanie a.k.a. Missi, Cameron, Tasha, Trent, and Tristan, ; Several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She loved nature, animals, especially her dogs, dancing for no reason, rocks, cartoons, her friends, motorcycles, and once said, "You can find beauty in mysterious places..."  Her friends meant the world to her.  And she always tried to be there no matter what.

                   SHE WILL BE MISSED...

Unfortunately, we lost our Dear "Mama Bear" Melanie Reed on February 1st, 2025 at 2 a.m.  Those crazy people wouldn't let us bring her home, so sadly, she passed in the hospital.  Now that the spring has come and her flowers are out, we will be planning a memorial celebration of her life this spring; this website will be updated with any changes but the ceremony will be held at The Reed Family Farm, where she would like her ashes to be scattered and was the most at peace.

There are no words that can touch this beautiful woman who gave me life, so help me by celebrating her life with pictures, poetry, random rocks you've found, etc.  Tristen, Sean, Halley and I are working on a project to commemorate her legacy and life.  If you have rocks that you want polished and put into her swing, please bring them.  If you have a note you would like to leave with her at this memorial site, feel free to as well.

I got blessed with two parents that did not deserve a child like me, I'm glad she let me live this long... I Love You, Mommy...
