Honoring the Beautiful Life of Meghan Borker

With profound sadness and deep gratitude for her life, we announce that Meghan Borker, 39, passed away on June 20, 2025, after facing cancer with remarkable courage and grace. Meghan’s greatest gift was her boundless love for family and friends — she poured her heart into every relationship, ensuring those she loved always felt cherished and supported.

Meghan was born on April 17, 1986, in Havre, Montana to Dennis and Julie Maier. In 1987, the family relocated to Kingman, Arizona, where Meghan’s younger sister, Rachel, was born the following year. Despite the move, Montana remained close to Meghan’s heart. The family made annual summer road trips back to visit loved ones, journeys that helped nurture Meghan’s lifelong love for her home state.

Bright and driven from a young age, Meghan excelled academically and quickly became known for her kind heart and infectious spirit. She joined the pom team in junior high, sharing many laughs and memories with close friends, but it was on the high school golf team where she truly began to shine, putting to use skills she had built early on.

On September 19, 2017, she married the love of her life, Robert Borker, in Whitefish, Montana. Together, they created countless memories traveling across the United States, always finding their greatest joy in each other’s company, with Hawaii  and Montana holding a special place in their hearts.

Meghan’s warmth extended beyond her marriage. She embraced Robert’s sons, Aaron and Andrew, with steady love and guidance, showing them every day what family means. Her niece, Olivia, and nephew, Lincoln, were her pride and delight, and she never missed a chance to celebrate their lives. Her friends were family too, she believed in deep conversations, shared meals, and moments filled with flowers, laughter, and good cheer.

A proud graduate of Gonzaga University and Creighton University (MBA), Meghan was a talented business analyst, but her true legacy lies in the joy and comfort she gave those around her. Even during her hardest days, Meghan taught everyone to treasure life and each other.

Meghan is survived by her husband, Robert; step-sons Andrew and Aaron; mother Julie; sister Rachel (Kris), nephew Lincoln and niece Olivia; grandmother Norine Maier; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family members that hold Meg dear to their hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis; paternal grandfather Ed Maier; and maternal grandparents Bob and Jean Johnston.

 Meghan’s love will live on in every life she touched.
