Background

Megan passed after fighting her battle with ovarian cancer. The 2 organizations selected are ones that Megan was passionate about supporting. The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance uses money raised for ovarian cancer research.

Megan grew up around horses and was gifted equine therapy from the Open Stable Foundation when she was undergoing chemotherapy. Megan said it was the most beneficial and healing activity she did while fighting cancer. Megan even donated to help the foundation buy another horse to be dedicated to helping cancer patients.
