Mearl Kroft, a cherished and respected member of our community, completed his final journey on July 8, 2023. Born on June 30, 1959 in Kittanning Pennsylvania, Mearl, a dedicated family man, professional, and kind-hearted individual, leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment. His warm smile, kind heart, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed.
Mearl is survived by his wife, Michele Kroft (Guariniello), son Nicholas Kroft, sisters Cynthia Eakin (Kroft) of Cranberry Pennsylvania and Sally Mong (Kroft) of Franklin Pennsylvania, brothers Harry Kroft Jr. of Seneca Pennsylvania, Art Kroft of Etters Pennsylvania and James Kroft of Oil City, Pennsylvania. Mearl also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Tom Mong, sisters-in-law Tricia Kroft and Lu-Ann Guariniello and his nephews and nieces, Mathew Eakin, Anne Falanga (Eakin), Brian Kroft, Kevin Mong, Randy Mong, Karen Mong, Alisha Kroft, Kayla Kroft, Daniel Kroft and Emilie Koegler. Mearl's kindness and generosity have left indelible marks on their hearts.
Preceded in passing by his beloved father Harry Kroft, mother Donna Kroft (Stear), and brother Robert Kroft and his wife Diane Kroft (Kraft), Mearl carried forth their values of family and diligence throughout his life, leaving an unforgettable imprint on those who knew him.
Mearl grew up in Oil City, Pennsylvania and graduated from Oil City High School in 1977. He furthered his education at the ICM School of Business in Pittsburgh PA, earning his Associates degree in Specialized Business in 1979. He then moved to New Jersey to begin his career in the computer industry. With all his hard work and ambition over a span of three decades, Mearl enjoyed a thriving and accomplished career in the realm of information technology. His roles ranged from computer programmer, to technical support manager and hardware specialist.
Mearl married Michele on September 18, 1993. Their union was blessed with their son, Nicholas Kroft, born on January 11, 1997 in Pompton Plains, NJ. Their family was the cornerstone of his life and they always found strength and joy in his unyielding love.
In 2001, Mearl and his family embarked on a new chapter, relocating to Land O'Lakes Florida. This change marked a significant juncture in their lives, as they embraced a new environment and forged fresh connections. Land O'Lakes became a canvas for new experiences and memories.
In 2009, Mearl embarked on a new path, becoming the proprietor of a commercial cleaning business for a decade. During this time, he maintained the same commitment to quality and excellence that had characterized his prior professional endeavors. His dedication to meeting the needs of his customers remained unwavering.
Later, Mearl transitioned once again, leveraging his strong customer-oriented approach to secure a role as a customer service professional at Sam's Club. Drawing upon his extensive experience, he effectively assisted and engaged with a diverse range of customers, ensuring their needs were met and their experiences were positive. Mearl's career journey exemplified his adaptability and dedication to excellence across different industries.
His outstanding commitment to customer satisfaction at Sam's Club earned him the recognition of being named Employee of the Month and, eventually, Employee of the Year. These accolades were a testament to Mearl's exceptional work ethic, dedication, and his ability to consistently go above and beyond in his role.
A memorial service in his honor will be held on August 19, 2023, at 12:30 PM at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 2740 Cypress Ridge Blvd. Wesley Chapel FL 33544 . All are welcome.
As we mourn Mearl's departure from this world, we also celebrate his life and the abundant joy he brought into ours. He will be greatly missed, remembered as a beacon of love and kindness and his memories forever etched in our hearts.
