Maxwell's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Maxwell Nelson, who moved onto the next life on August 14, 2025. Born on November 12, 1944, he lived a rich and rewarding life, full of love and enjoyment for his family, work, and hobbies. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Anoya Nelson, and daughter, Lisa Nelson.
Maxwell worked diligently at Toyota until his retirement in 2021, and was deeply passionate about his career. His passion for work was only surpassed by his love for his family. Maxwell is survived by his loving wife, Janette Nelson, and daughters Lynn Nelson and Annette Porter. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters, Maurisa Nelson, Brandie Nelson, and Nika Rutherford, whose lives were greatly enriched by his love and wisdom.
Maxwell was known for his love of culinary delights, particularly chicken and onion rings. He also loved to sip on G2. He was an ardent reader with Johnny Base being amongst his favorite books. A fan of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, his musical choice was reflective of his upbeat and spirited personality.
Maxwell enjoyed watching Law and Order on television and loved the classic film, The Lion King. Monet's art held a special place in his heart – a testament to his refined taste and love for beauty. A loyal supporter of The Bengals, he loved to unwind with a good game of Connect Four. Maxwell’s favorite recreational activity was reading and he also enjoyed dishing. He loved to stay active by walking, and one of his favorite vacation spots was the beautiful country of Ghana.
Maxwell was a man who valued his family above all, and his favorite color was a peaceful blue. He was best known for his caring and kind personality. His belief in respecting and taking care of one another will be remembered as one of the most important lessons he left behind. His legacy will be a lasting one of kindness and compassion.
Maxwell Nelson will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his demise, his teachings, values and memories continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Maxwell, you will never be forgotten.
