I was very sorry to receive the news of Max's passing.  Max was a long-time friend,  both of mine and my late husband  - a friendship which began back in the 50s when he and his band played at various clubs in downtown Toronto hotels and my husband's trio, 'The Hi-Lites', were also on the bill. I will always remember his quick wit, his great sense of humour, his kind, understanding nature and of course,  his exceptional musical talent.  To the family and all of the lives Max touched - may you find comfort in your everlasting memories.

Sincere condolences to the Sherman Family.

I will remember Max for the kindness he brought into my life many, many years ago when he lived in Toronto. Over the years we would chat on the phone and he would tell me all about his sons and how proud he was of them. He was a special human being. May he rest in peace.
