It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Maurice Chase, who departed this life on March 14, 2025. Born on November 18, 1939, Maurice lived a life brimming with laughter, wit, and an infectious spirit of freedom.

Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his cherished surviving daughters, Marcie, Maureen and Erma; his beloved nieces, Grace, Averil, and Janice; his devoted nephew, Chris; and his dear siblings, Coralita, Joycelyn, Ronald, and Doreen.  His influence will live on through his beloved grandchildren—Quenton, Derek, Damani, and Noelita—who carry forward his strength, wit, and independent spirit. In them, his love endures, his wisdom echoes, and his memory remains ever bright.  Maurice’s remarkable presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy, his quick humor, will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Totaling more than 85 joy-filled years, Maurice's journey was paved with achievements and adorned with personal and professional accomplishments. Among these, Maurice carried with him the title of Master Plumber, a testament to his dedication, skill, and hard work.

A life lived with the heart of a free-spirited comedian, Maurice had an unparalleled ability to lighten the heaviest of atmospheres. His wit, his humor, and his jovial charisma brought joy and laughter to those around him, making every interaction an unforgettable one.

Lillian Taylor, his life partner, will miss Maurice's delightful company and quick humor. The void left by his absence will be challenging to fill, but the memories of his vibrant life will always bring a smile to those who remember him.

Maurice's journey may have concluded, but his spirit will continue to live on through his humor, his accomplishments, and his loved ones. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a life full of laughter, love, and immense character.
