My heart breaks everytime I realize I’ve had to navigate life without you. Life without you on most days is blurry…. They lied, it doesn’t get better or easier. I miss you so much mummy, and yes, on some nights I still curl in bed and cry myself to sleep.  I’m simply a girl who misses her mummy.

God has been good and kind to us, I know you’re looking out for us. Someday I’ll get to hold you again and never let go ❤️.  I’ll always be thankful that I got to call you mummy.

Continue to rest in the Lord and chopulate heavenly things - 'e ka na anwu Coke'?  :-)

Happy Birthday o!

Mau Mau, may your sweet and gentle soul continue to rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord. You are greatly missed!
Happy birthday with the angels Oge🙏🏿🎂
Darling Sister - Continue to rest in the Lord where you belong.
Dear Mau,
In the short time i knew you, you were kind, caring and selfless, i met you through our mutual friend Didi. May your soul rest in perfect peace
Oge, you left such a positive impact on me for the very brief time I knew you. I felt like I had known you all my life and I still remember the wonderful evening Obilly and I spent with you, Tony and Ada earlier in the year. Your warmth, love for all was infectious. Heaven has gained an Angel🙌🏽 . Love from Chinyere and Ik Ugwu
Maureen, you will be greatly missed by so many. You lived and loved to your capacity. More in her short life than many will. I know you live on in your daughter and her gifts will be passed on by my friend to her daughters. Thus the legacy begins. Maureen will never be forgotten ❤
The American Cancer Society shares our sincerest condolences for your loss. If you need support during this difficult time, please reach out to our helpline, available 24/7 at 1-800-227-2345. We deeply appreciate your support of our mission.
Oge, my daughter, go in perfect peace.
I will forever remember and cherish the joy we shared together last year in Paris when we took the children to Disneyland. Our chit-chats were like mother and daughter. I saw in you a humble, calm, caring, cheerful, intelligent and peaceful soul.
I had then strongly believed you were healed but God's ways are not our ways.
Rest in peace in the knowledge that you achieved a lot in your short life on earth. You raised up wonderful and very intelligent children who will continue to fly your flag. The good life you lived has had great and positive impact on the people you came across in your life's short journey.
Oge, you were a gem. Thank you for the love and kindness you showered on your sister, my daughter, Ada Harris-Eze and family while you were with them. You were the angel of love and peace in their midst and they loved you to bits.
It is my PRAYER that people will replicate same love and kindness to your family and children.
The world is a stage. Days before last Christmas one of your very good friends passed on to Glory. You invited the husband and children to dine with you and your cousin Tony HARRIS-EZE and family on Christmas day. You provided an entertaining atmosphere of love, friendship and kindness which was a brief but very good distraction from their grief as there was joy and laughter on the faces of everyone in the gathering.
TODAY you are gone, but have before the world and throughout your life played a part that gave you and will continue to give you a Standing Ovation.
We miss your humanity and caring spirit.
God bless your soul.
Rest in perfect peace.
We miss you but will forever remain in our hearts.
Adieu.
Mrs Anne Orogbu
Please accept my sympathy. May Oge's beautiful soul rest in eternal peace and may God Almighty comfort her loved ones that she has left behind. Amen!

Tribute to My Beloved Friend and Sister in the LORD
Maureen Ogechukwukanma Oddie-Okeke

Maureen Ogechukwukanma (Maur-Maur), I would forever treasure our friendship which was spontaneous from the very first time your husband, Oddie Okeke, introduced us to each other on that beautiful Sunday after Mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Festac Town in 1991. The introduction was particularly unique and interesting because of what we shared together namely: First Name, Middle Name, and Birth Month (January), and most importantly our faith in our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. To top that off, your Mom confided in me her experience during your birth; she urged me not to tell you so as not scare you with the childbearing process, and I didn’t. All these events in our lives created a close-knit affinity between the two of us that still amazes me, even now. You were not only a friend and sister, but a trusted confidant. And it is still very raw and hard for me to think that we will never have our chitchat times anymore, certainly in this realm called earth. This is very difficult!

Just about when I was beginning to think that all is well with your health while still dealing with the untimely return to our heavenly home of our beloved Ng-Chiobogwu, you went home also, just within an interval of two years. Tough, really tough! It is not supposed to be this early! The good indeed die young―very sad, but true. It is well.

Maur-Maur, you are the embodiment of love, kindness, peace, joy, generosity, faithfulness, and much more. You were faithful to the One who loves you with an everlasting love---JESUS, your husband, family, and friends, prayerful and forgiving to the end, even to those who deeply hurt you to the core. You only asked for prayers for them, not against them, just as the One who loves you too much did for all of us on the Cross of Calvary. You indeed exemplified what it means to be a true worshipper and follower of YAHWEH, Yeshua-JESUS CHRIST, and I thank the LORD for the legacy you have left for all of us who were privileged to have shared in your life and love. Thank you, Darling. I treasure your memory with utmost gratitude. Your motherly kindness to yours and others’ is remarkable, and you showed kindness without fanfare; your demeanor is inspiring, to say the least.

You, Ogechukwukanma, inspire me greatly, and I say thank you, Sweetheart; there will never be another you. You are in a class all by yourself---genuine child of the living God, YAHWEH, and I miss you dearly. It is written that “the memory of the just is blessed” (Proverbs 10:7), and your memory, my beloved friend and sister, is indeed blessed. I will forever treasure your memory, and thank you, Princess of the KING of kings, for blessing me the gift of a beautiful memory to treasure all the days of my life and beyond.

In conclusion, I pray that the LORD will teach all of us mourning and celebrating your beautiful, yet short-lived, life to “number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom” (Psalm 90:12) and seek the kingdom of YAHWEH God first and early, because this is an evil time and the day of reckoning is fast approaching. May He give us the grace to heed His admonition which says that “the conclusion of the whole matter is to fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).

Rest secure and in perfect peace, my beloved friend and sister, Maureen Ogechukwukanma, in the bosom of our LORD JESUS, the One who loves us very much, and keep enjoying the ultimate healing now that you are home free―free from physical and emotional pain―home free indeed as beautifully captured in this linked song by Wayne Watson at https://www.youtube.com/watch….

With much love and appreciation, today and always!

Your friend and sister in the LORD,

Maureen Ogechukwukanma Okoli
