Maureen's obituary
Maureen was born to Rhea Gray Murphy and Milliard Murphy in Lima, Ohio. She grew up with her older brother Ted in Wisconsin and then moved to Sacramento as a teenager with her mother. She went to the University of California, Berkeley for a few years but graduated from the University of Nevada in 1971.
She was a passionate and spirited woman who wanted to help save the world. She believed she could help and was involved with many political groups before moving to Atlanta in 1980. This is where she found the real purpose in her life: her faith in Jehovah. She was baptised in the Peachtree Congregation in 1987.
She was a very loving woman who loved Jehovah. This faith gave her the strength to raise her daughter, Coryn. Although she struggled to overcome many obstacles, her faith and love for Jehovah is what continued to sustain her throughout her life. She also found many ways to show her love within the organisation. She was often found helping others by studying, taking them to meetings, or connecting people.
She is survived by her brother Ted, her daughter Coryn, her son-in law Wes, and two granddaughters Melissa and Maya.
Her funeral will be July 6th at 4:00pm at the Avondale Estates Kingdom Hall 3346 Rockbridge Rd, Avondale Estates, Georgia 30002
