Think of you many moments of every day and still reaching to call or text you about something you'd find either very gross or hysterical....so you can just imagine how often I'm referring to.  Early on, we'd still try to think of you living your best life on the other side of the nation, to try to get us through many difficult days.  I can confirm that it does not get much easier with the passing of time, and there are so many daily reminders that occur, we try to hold onto those few seconds until reality sets in.  Every time we watch HGTV or watch something (not one of your thriller or "dark" flix suspense movies you would choose), but often it's usually a setting in Seattle or even Weather Channel shows a photo of "the needle."  Of course, I still don't know how you managed to produce your you-tube video and as heartbreaking as it is, I still must say I'm not the ONLY, but ONE of your most dedicated followers. I can just hear your "sigh" as you know how "emotional" we can be as Maher's and yes, I admit we have trouble letting go.  And so, we never will.   Love you my beautiful humorous, ok, yes Type-A, but kind hearted daughter...You'll always be "daddy's little girl"
Moe Maher bids farewell.........with her courage and "unique" sense of humor, which we all love.

We continue to always miss your awesome vibrant personality and sense of humor that had added so much joy and purpose to our lives.  We realize we are all on the same journey, but you were taken from us much too quickly, yet we realize we'd never be ready to lose you.  So many unfinished "canasta" card games, telephone chats and sharing of that "Maher" humor that you referred to in your memorial video.  Most often, I could manage somehow to get a "smile" out of you, although you tried not to laugh at my "goofy-ness." You excelled at managing all your challenges, me...not so much; we are all doing as well as we can, but there will be one day that our "energy" also blends with the earth to bring us together.  We love you Moe, always and forever.   You'll always be "Daddy's little girl."
Hi, I ran across this email and I am not sure I am appropriately responding. I believe Maureen was Jim Bernard's supervisor at DOL. I wanted to share on his behalf. He thought very, very highly of Maureen, as a supervisor and as a person. He took it really hard when she disclosed of her terminal illness, and even harder when she passed. I think due to COVID there was limited gatherings for the DOL team, and he was upset he didn't attend. Jim thought about her daily, and the team she built at work, and left behind. He really liked his work team. Jim passed away in February, so maybe they are chatting away about Boston and the Patriots and Red Sox, and planning things in Heaven. May you have peace.
