Maureen's obituary
Maureen graduated from Notre Dame High School in San Francisco, California, in 1956, and later, she completed certifications in Dental Assisting from City College of San Francisco and Mixology from Atlanta Bartending School. She was an avid reader all her life; her local library was one of her favorite places to be. She was also a proud member of Mensa.
Maureen cherished the many years she spent as an instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in San Francisco, and throughout her life, she was known as an active and vivacious person. Friends and relatives affectionately described her as someone who never acted her age. She was also a world traveler and a Road Scholar, visiting Russia, Cuba, and more over the years.
Maureen retired from the United States Postal Service in 2013 and enjoyed the remainder of her life in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was a beloved member of Leon Mathieu Senior Center and East Providence Senior Center, and she served as the treasurer of the Pawtucket Senior Citizens Council. She is survived by daughters Paula Wilton and Carla Carmona; grandchildren Kayla and Donovan Wilton; sister Rosena Kresl; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Maureen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
