Maureen's obituary
Maureen Conboy, a loving wife, devoted mother, and dedicated nurse, passed away on August 19, 2024. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Maureen found her true calling in nursing, a profession where her compassion and skill touched countless lives.
Maureen’s journey took her from Brooklyn to Middletown, NJ, then to Aberdeen, and finally Freehold, where she spent her final years surrounded by family. She faced the challenges of multiple sclerosis with remarkable strength and courage, and battled cancer with the same warrior spirit that defined her life.
Predeceased by her loving parents Betsy & Jack and her brother in law Bob, Maureen is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Conboy, her beloved son, Chris, and Chris’s girlfriend Sarah and her son Jackson. Maureen also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Kathy and her husband Bill, Jack and his wife Suzanne, Mary Beth, and her numerous nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Maureen was known for her loving nature, loyalty, humor, intelligence, and fierce determination. Her legacy of strength and compassion will forever be an inspiration to all who knew her.
A liturgy mass for Maureen will be held Friday, August 23rd at 10:30 at St. Roberts in Freehold. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society or National Multiple Sclerosis Society in her honor.
