Ray and I met at Palmer & Dodge as summer law students in 1969 and took the Mass. bar exam together in 1970. In 1971, when Ray worked at the Pentagon, I was in D.C. on government business and my sister Connie was a student at Mt. Vernon Junior College. Maureen hosted a delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner for us at their condo. I was blessed to enjoy Maureen cooking many times over the next several decades.
Later in the 1970s, I helped the Boulangers move from their Arlington apartment to their Glen Road house in Winchester. Then they helped my first wife Jane and me move from our Belmont apartment to Winchester. When Ray became a partner at Goodwin, Procter & Hoar, we hosted a celebration for them at our house on Winter Pond. When Jessie and I married in 1994, Ray and Maureen served as our "Best Couple".
Maureen was endlessly generous to, and patient with, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and all of their relatives and friends. Indeed, she was a saint, and we will miss her.
