Maureen's obituary

She graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane.

Maureen Married the love of her life, Kenneth Borek on 9-15-53. They settled in the Spokane area and later moved to the Tacoma area with their 6 children.

Maureen worked as an RN for many years at St Joseph Hospital in Tacoma. She then became an instructor at Clover Park Voc Tech for about 10 years until her retirement.

In their retirement Ken and Maureen moved to Surprise AZ. They loved their retirement and were very active and made a lot of fast friends.

16 years after Ken passed away Maureen wanted to be nearer to family in Oregon and relocated back to the PNW.

Maureen loved playing cards, swimming, Rummikubs and having friends around her. She was always up for organizing get togethers for her friends and her to have fun. Maureen had a laughter that was heartfelt and made everyone around her laugh as well.

She especially loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. This is what she would have liked to have been remembered by most of all.

Maureen is preceded in death by her husband, Ken. Her daughter, Nancy, Sisters Ginny and Teri. Brothers Don, Pat and Doug.

Left grieving is her adult children Rick (Lynn), Bob (Nora), Susan (Bruce), Randy (Jill), Roger (Angela). Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother Mike and sisters Becky, Mary and Roberta.
