Maude's obituary
Maude Ola Hunnicutt, 79, of Anchorage, AK, passed away on April 10, 2022 after a battle with pneumonia. Maude was born on November 6, 1943 to Daniel and Dorothy Phillips-Wright in Kotzebue, Alaska. She was raised by her stepmother Jessie Howarth-Wright.
Maude attended (high school). After graduation, Maude moved to New York City and lived there for ten years and worked for the Bank of America. A memory she told family about living in New York City was that she watched the twin towers being constructed. She moved back to Alaska and made Fairbanks, Alaska her home. She worked at a recovery program in old Minto, Alaska. In the early 1950's she met Glenn Hunnicutt and married when she was seventeen years old. They divorced in and remarried in 1993. They lived in Fairbanks and Nome throughout their time together and according to Maude they lived in bliss thereafter until Glenn's death in 2006.
Maude was preceded in death by her late husband Glenn Hunnicutt Sr. in 2006 including her parents Daniel and Dorothy Phillips-Wright, her siblings Peter, Kirk and Grant. Maude Hunnicutt had no living biological children. Maude was survived by her stepdaughters Lucy "Anasuk" Nelson and Connie "Aqamuk" Hunnicutt, her sisters Pauline Downey and Lulu Wright, her brothers Daniel Wright Jr, David Wright and step grandchildren Allison, Evelyn, Alan, Adam, Catherine, Glenn and Leo Jr; neice Kelsi Wright and nephew Chad Yenne too many to name.
