Grandma's smile was transcendent, she truly cared. This Β is what I believe set her a part. You were cherished if you were in her presence where it be five minutes, the afternoon or a lifetime, and she didn't let you forget it. That was my favorite part about her. She was a master of presence. I'll never forget her and remain so grateful and proud to have been part of that sunbeam. Her prayers and her friendship held me together and made me feel better during a difficult storm in my life when an unexpected motor vehicle accident injury tore me in two, it was GrandmaΒ and Tessa who genuinely and lovingly welcomed me into their home as I recovered. I'll never forget Grandma's words when I could not walk to have hope and not rush the process of rest because the nerves take their time to regrow. Years later neuroscience has proved Grandma right. Grandchildren listen up. She was ahead of her time. My injuries recently flared up and I am struggling to walk again, funny but Grandma's Β words were easily recalled in my heart and thus sparked my response to slow it down. So I say. Thank you Lord for sharing Maddie & her sunbeam with us,Β whether it was 5 minutes, a morning or a lifetime. She authored in her authenticity that it was worth it: For your Glory;Β For Your Praise;Β For Your Purpose: For Your Peace and so you can change the world! So as her sunbeam heirs Let's do this!!

My condolences to Mattie's family. I first met Mattie when I visited New York , my mother was supported by her and her late husband. Her love for people was without boundaries, as a matter of fact she took my brother Kemar as her grandson,Β  she accepted my family as her family as well. She demonstrated such love and compassion for others without reservation. Her life is a testimony of her relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ who taught love for all, most certainly I am inspired by the manner in which she lived her life for God's glory, in giving of her time and resources to others, a blessed soul who has gone home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.Β  Let us keep the legacy she left behind for the glory of God.Β

Regards

DerickΒ
