SBIRS Graduation — with Matthew Skingel

So sorry to hear about Matt’s passing. I first met him in November 2013 - at the time I was in the RAF and was assigned to the USAF on an exchange posting. My first stop was Vandenberg AFB, CA where Matt was one of my instructors. After that, I did the rest of my US tour at Buckley AFB, CO where Matt soon followed. We did at least one hockey game together, and I seem to remember a Rockies v Nationals baseball game too. I remember him as being such a nice chap, and so funny too! Although I returned to the UK in 2018, we were still Facebook friends and I did enjoy his regular comedic rants on there - I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who could apparently get in to an argument/disagreement with someone every time he went to the grocery store! Condolences to the family. Rest in peace Matt. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
