Matt Hopkins, 56, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Amarillo.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Matt was born November 22, 1968 in Pampa. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1987 and went to graduate from Angelo State University in 1991 with a degree in business. Matt continued his education at Texas Tech University graduating with his master’s degree in 1997. He began his career in banking in 1995 and continued to work until 2001. Matt changed careers and managed an auto repair shop in Lubbock for several years before returning to Pampa. Once in Pampa, he would do construction work and work at the tire shop with his mother.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Mackenzie Hopkins of Chandler, Arizona; son, Dalton Hopkins of Chandler, Arizona; two brothers, Marshall Hopkins and wife Sharon and Monte Hopkins and Terra Rhodes all of Pampa; and a sister, Melinda Hopkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
