I'm so sorry to hear the news. May the Lord Jesus comfort you all.
I had so many fond memories of staying at the Hartle farm outside of Iowa Falls. One memory was Barb challenging Matt to a race after a high school football game. The whole family had a good laugh. I ran into Matt every five years or so since the family moved to Sioux City. You will be in my prayers. God bless.
Hartle family - so sorry for your significant loss. My heart hurts for you all. I have fond memories of Matt from years ago. - Dan Rieber

Had lots of fun with Matt through high school-football, wrestling,-always had a smile on his face - prayers to sherlyn and the kids, Dave, barb, Steve, Nate and Emily
My wife Susan and I are so very sorry to hear about Matt. We are members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. There I served on committees with Matt and he was great to work with. Matt was witty as well as creative. It was our honor to have worked with him and to have known him. Monte and Susan Bonnicksen

I am one of Matt's brothers and those who know him well would certainly agree that he was witty, fun-loving, and outgoing like this obituary mentions. What was not always apparent because of his personality were his struggles because he tragically died by suicide. Please keep his wife and kids, and entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this time and maybe we could at least use our tragic loss as a way to help someone who may be struggling as well.
