Loss is hard. The loss of a young man is unbelievably hard. Watching a loving mother lose a son is a painfully difficult experience! Knowing that she is a fairly recent widow while still raising 4 of her 7 children (6 of which were adopted)...I'm in awe. Susan is a tough Texan that has a strong in the Lord attitude and is an overcomer like none other, she's also a working single mom who has lost a son.

Matthew's Celebration Of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00PM followed by a time of fellowship with a prepared meal.

Matthew Keith Flanagan was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on September 14, 2000. The first 7 years of his life were filled with neglect, abandonment and homelessness. Before Matthew came to us he spent time with an amazing foster family in West Virginia that loved, supported him and called him one of their own. Soon his biological father was found and Matthew was with him for an uncomfortable short time before joining our family.
