It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Faust, 35, a loving son, brother, nephew, and friend, who went to be with his Lord & Savior on May 2, 2023. Born August 18, 1987, Matthew left a lasting impression on everyone he met with his sweet and personable nature, always ready to lend a helping hand. 

Matthew is survived by his father, James (Jim) Faust; mother, Elizabeth (Lisa Katona) Faust; brother, Timothy Faust; sister-in-law Suzanne; nieces Clarissa and Tiffany; grandmother, Nancy (Norvick) Rowe and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents: Elizabeth “Betty” Katona, Joseph “Gibbs” Katona, and James Faust, Jr. 

Matthew had a great passion for bodybuilding. He gladly shared his knowledge and love for the sport with others. He was affectionately known as “Arnie” by friends because of it. He loved animals and we jokingly called him “Alpha Dog” because dogs and cats would gravitate to him. 

With determination and hard work, Matthew achieved much during his short lifetime. After High School he completed the Disney Career Start Program at Disney World, which fueled his passion for people. He also completed an Apprenticeship in Construction Craft Labor to become a journeyman in the Laborer’s Union.
