Matt's obituary

Matthew (Matt) Dalton, 56, died on January 8, 2026. He was born May 22nd, 1969, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was the son of David Dalton and Christa Lee Linihan. He was a brother, father, and a friend. Matt is survived by his daughters, Myka (26) and Cami (23) Dalton.

Matt studied at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1993. He spent his career serving individuals within the healthcare field. Matt found great joy in the outdoors, especially hunting. He loved spending time training and caring for dogs and cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners. Being a sports enthusiast, Matt devoted his time to coaching and supporting his daughter’s sports teams when they were younger.

Matt passed away after a hard battle with mental and physical health challenges. Although he faced obstacles in his life, he dedicated many years to being a great father to his daughters and a friend to many. His daughters' fondest memories are filled with doing the things he loved the most. Matt will be greatly missed and forever remembered. There will not be any services held, but if you would like to share a story or fond memory of a time you had with Matt, his daughters would greatly appreciate it.
