Matthew S. White, 36, passed away on July 4, 2024, after a three-year battle with cancer. He loved his family, drumming, and Godzilla. He leaves behind his wife, Jasmine, and his two daughters, Penelope and Emilia. He was born on March 9, 1988, in Bremerhaven, Germany, to Stephen and Tracie White of Dover. He is a 2006 graduate of Russellville High School and the Berklee College of Music. He is also survived by a brother, Joshua White, and sister-in-law Kelly Whitaker, of New Orleans, Louisiana, his in-laws, Brian and Johnna Balch of Danville, his brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Abbi Balch of Russellville, and his grandparents, Freda and Tracey Green of Batesville, and Mildred White of Dover.

He loved playing drums for a number of local bands including Sound of the Mountain, Friendly Friends, Bear Flag Revolt, the Filthy Kind, Adam Faucett, Tall Grass, Poor Ol Uncle Fatty, and Jamie Lou and the Hullabaloo, as well as drumming for the Journey and Grace Churches.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, 214 N. Grand Avenue, Belleville, AR, on July 10 at 3 pm.
