It is with great sadness that we announce Matheno "Mat" Elihu Bey, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on June 11, 2024. Mat and his late twin brother Simon Joseph Bey were born during the midnight hour of Saturday, May 17, 1986, to Christine Bey and James Avery Carr Bey in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Matheno’s parents raised Matt as a Moorish American and took his name from the writings in the Moorish Koran which …
