I first met Mary Nell in 1958. We were freshmen at Wayland Baptist in Plainview,Tx. We were so young and naive. Mary Nell very quickly established herself as a voice or reason and common sense. Some of us ( of course not me) needed this. She was our sounding board of good advice and smart decisions. I sang at the wedding of Mary Nell and Bill. It was a lovely ceremony in Roscoe, Texas. What a good marriage they had. Three
beautiful girls who have become incredible women. Mary Nell was so proud of her family. I will never forget Mary Nell’s influence and calming influence on me.
