Mary Jane Davidson Viala, 71, of Round Rock, Texas, died peacefully on March 30, 2023. Born September 3, 1951, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, to Doyle Craig Davidson and Dorothy Marie Wyatt O’Hara, she was the youngest of three children. Janie graduated from Little Rock Central High School before marrying and having two children. When she was younger, she worked in the nursery and childcare center of the First Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas, where she was also an in-home nanny. Janie lived in Annapolis, Maryland, and Clearwater, Florida, before settling in Round Rock, Texas in 1999. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren and loved to brag about them to anyone who would listen.

She is survived by her son, Chris Viala and daughter-in-law, Kristi of Jonesboro, Arkansas; daughter Courtney (Viala) Hamby and son-in-law, Matthew of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren: Isabel and Chloe Viala (Jonesboro, AR); Ben, Conner, Edison, Oliver, & Daxton Hamby (Austin, TX); sisters, Donna Gustafson (John) of Round Rock, TX; Kit (Ron) Smith of Fayetteville, AR; Jimmy O’Hara of Little Rock, AR; six nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Davidson of Little Rock, AR.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Research Center Department of Leukemia.
