Mary Louise Schlatt nee Woc, also know as Mania Alacia (in Polish), was born August 16, 1929 in Crabapple, Ohio. Her parents Joseph and Victoria Woc, immigrated to the U.S. from Poland when they were teenagers. Mary's father, Joseph, passed in 1953 and her mother, Victoria, resided in her Crabapple home until she died in 1978. Mary remained a support to her mom throughout her remaining years, visiting frequently with 6 children in tow.
