So sorry for your loss! Mary Ruthe was my trainer when I first started at Exxon back in July of 1981. She was always in a good mood, always smiling, and was very thorough. I along with several other Exxon employees went to happy hours every week, had parties on a regular basis and just hung out and had fun.
I was so surprised when I heard about her passing and other all my condolences to you and your family. She was a truly remarkable person!
Sincerely, Fritz Olnhausen

Sad to hear of the untimely passing of my ex-wife. As many friends and neighbors have already expressed, we shared many good years while kids were growing on Duncansby Vale. We've had our differences since then, but I've always respected her for being a great mom to our kids. My sincere condolences go out to friends and family, especially Hal Miller, Virginia Hunt, Walter Hunt and our children Chris and Kim Wright.

I'm heartbroken to hear about Mary Ruthe's passing. Mary Ruthe was a beacon of love and generosity, creating warmth and comfort wherever she went, especially at the beach house in Galveston. Her tireless work ethic, kindness and thoughtfulness touched everyone she met… and were all passed on to both her kids Kim and Chris to carry on her legacy. Me and my wife and my extended family are all with you and keep ya’ll in our prayers.

Hal, Chris, Kim & all the family,
My heart hurts as I try to understand the passing of MaryRuthe? She was such a special and important friend to me and all my family. She was a huge part of my younger adult life as we both grew our families and remained a friend 33 years later! I will miss her deeply but will always remember our times on Duncansby Vale drinking wine in the front yard after work, running our kids to daily sport activities and the many conversations about life in general. I Love You MaryRuthe & will miss you dearly! May you rest in peace in the comfort of Gods arms and be an ANGEL to all of us!!! Until we meet again!

My families hearts and prayers go out to her family. Mary Ruthe was always so supportive and kind and loving. I spent much of my childhood around her and she became like a second mom to me. She was always so proud of Chris and Kim and you could see her glow when she spoke about them. She was a truly special person who will always be loved and never forgotten.

This is the most beautiful tribute to the most beautiful woman. A life of so much love, gratitude, faith, family, creation and friendships to inspire us all. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. She was so selfless and thoughtful and so proud of you Chris and Kim, as she should be. We love you immensely and will continue praying our hearts out for you.

Chris and Kim,
I am so sad to hear of your mother’s passing. She was the best next door neighbor and quite a great role model for us as the newlyweds next door. I loved coming home and seeing her already changed and drinking her wine on the bench outside. I’ll never forget her asking Art and me, after we saw Jurassic Park at the movies, if it was appropriate to take Chris too. We said yes … I think Chris was 6. Turns out it wasn’t so appropriate after all as Mary Ruthe let us know a few days later. Love you both and such fond memories of your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
