Margaret Taylor Adams

(Margie)

As a classmate at Buckingham I remember her for agility, her sly wit, and her desire to confront life. Yes, she was the 'wild child', but she managed her moniker with elan. Your grandparents gave her leeway which I never had....so I was a bit jealous of her antics and her travels. One of Mary's greatest gifts was to love and give.  I am privileged to be a small part of her life.

We are so sorry for not only the family’s loss, but also for the loss felt by lifelong friends of Mary.

Mary was always a gracious hostess to people and their pets!

I remember coming over for dinner with my daughter; one of many times. I still recall fondly the memory of Mary saying something to the effect of, “As you know, I don ‘do’ children very well, but Veronica is wonderful.” Such a magnanimous statement, further to the point of her graciousness.

So many wonderful memories of my childhood , where much time was spent at the house in Jaffrey  Center-including through adulthood. Mary is loved and is greatly missed.

Love,

Laurie, Peter and Veronica

Mary and I grew up together. We saw each other at Buckingham school but almost as much outside playing. Eventually we ended us together again at Radcliffe when with Helena Lewis, another dear Cambridge pal, we persuaded the Dean to let us take a half year off to attend the Sorbonne. Oh, the fun we had in Paris—and other places in Europe! Oh, the fun!

Since then we diverged in where we lived and what we chose to do, but we stayed in touch. To lose our dear pal has been very hard. We loved her dearly.  And we look forward to bringing sympathy and affection to her lovely family at this memorial.
