A walk on the beach after a lovely lunch. One of the first times we got together after I moved to San Diego. Mary loved enjoying the outdoors.

My condolences and love to Mary's family. I first met Mary almost 40 years ago when Karen and I became friends. As kids, I spent a lot of time at her house. She made us delicious breakfasts! She allowed us to be the goofy kids that we were, and always made me feel welcome. Five years ago I moved to San Diego and we began meeting regularly for donuts and coffee. We talked for hours and I cherished the time we spent together. She was like a mom to me. I’ll miss belly laughing on our coffee dates, having someone I could trust and confide in and her bringing me lemons fresh from her backyard tree. There’s a lot that I will miss, and, I’m so thankful for all of the memories I have of Mary that will keep me smiling for years to come.
