Mary Ritz, 96 of Morganton,N.C. passed away on April 7, 2022 .

• Mary was born on September 29,1925 to August and Louise Sienkiewycz in Brasher Falls, N.Y.Her first job was as a factory worker for the war effort, drilling gun sights on weapons. She met and married Francis Ritz shortly after WW ll, going on to have 5 children, Donna,Brenda(who died as a newborn) Gregory(deceased),Denise, and Scotg. When Mary had Donna she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother.She excelled at  supporting and encouraging her children through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.  With grace and dignity she went through life always giving of herself however she was needed. and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she enjoyed lots of activities from water skiing, to horseshoes and bowling. She could literally replicate and sew anything and she created exquisite wedding cakes. We will miss her greatly. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Andy, Bill, John,and Robert. Sisters Beatrice, Sophia, Josephine and Lillian.  Her son Gregory and infant daughter Brenda.  She is survived by a sister, Helen and brother Alec, daughters Donna and Denise and a son Scott. There are 8 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.
  
  The family will hold a memorial service at time to be decided
