It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mary Gayle Powrzanas on September 12, 2023. Born on January 26, 1958, 

Gayle was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Ruth Burton, and her father, Doyle Everett Sadler.  Her legacy will live on through her children. She is survived by her son, Tommy Powrzanas, her daughter, Autumn Waldron, and her son, Daniel Powrzanas (Angela). Her grandchildren, Drew Waldron (Grace), Alyssa Gayle Williams (Matt), Anna Williamston, Mary Kaitlyn Powrzanas, and Kyleigh Powrzanas. She was a beacon of love and strength. One of her greatest accomplishments was her children and grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

As a lover of arts and literature, Gayle’s favorite books were Love novels. Her interests also spanned the realms of music and television, with a passion for Fleetwood Mac, The Bee Gee’s, Incubus, Fuel, and a fondness for TV Shows like NCIS, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Her taste in films was equally diverse, with Legends of the Fall and anything featuring Brad Pitt being particularly beloved.

An avid sports fan, Gayle always rooted for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Equally enthusiastic about games, you would often find her enjoying a lively round of Yahtzee, Spades or Canasta. Gayle found joy in the simpler things in life like her love for arts and crafts or a quiet afternoon at the local nail salon or the library.

Those who were fortunate to know her were touched by her wit, warmth, and nurturing heart. Gayle’s radiant smile, kind spirit, and warm hugs will be dearly missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she left behind. Her life was a testament to the fact that the greatest attributes one can leave behind are love and kindness. She excelled in both.

We bid her farewell, but also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and a profound spirit of care. Rest in peace, Mary Gayle Powrzanas. You enriched our lives and we are grateful.
