Dear Family of Mary,
Please forgive our belated expression of sympathy on Mary's death. On behalf of the Woman's Club of Roland Park, I write to extend our deep condolences. She had a most extraordinary life-- living abroad extensively and traveling the world. She was a pioneer in education--earning a degree in mathematics and becoming a statistician when it was quite rare for a woman to do so; she was a generous and passionate supporter of the arts, a political activist who advocated for the common good. Throughout her involvement in all these areas, she still raised and loved her family.
We were honored that Mary was a member of our Club. Her friendships with many enriched our lives intellectually, culturally and socially.
We hope that memories of the good times and wisdom gleaned from your relationships will comfort you and bring you peace.
Sincerely yours,
Martha Armenti, Corresponding Secretary of the Woman's Club of Roland Park

Mary & John were both wonderful friends of my parents and I think of them as family. It is a loss for us all, but what a joy and gift to have known her.
