Punkin loved my little pigs!
Dear Mrs. Joyce,
I am very sorry for your loss of your sister, you both had a very special bond that was beautiful to witness. You have our deepest condolence.

She's in the sun,
the wind, the rain,
she's in the air you
breathe with every
breath you take.
She sings a song
of hope and cheer.
There's no more pain,
no more fear.
You'll see her
in the clouds above
hear her whispered
words of love.
You'll be together
some day, until then
listen for her song.

Love you Mrs. Joyce. I want you to know that I love you dearly and it hurts me to see you sad. Praying for you and your family.

Love, Kevin and Vanessa Full

If there’s one thing Punkin loved, it was dogs. They loved her and she loved to spoil them!

Punkin and "her baby" Lyla Jane... Punkin loved this little girl so much! She was Punkin's best little friend, I'm so happy they got to know and love each other during Punkin's last years. It was always double the sweetness when these 2 were together. I know Punkin will love watching Lyla grow up from heaven!

Mary Nell and I worked together in various capacities/projects during her tenure at the ALSDE, but the one story that stands above the rest is as follows:
Mary Nell was the only person who could recall codes ( attendance, graduation and dropout data) and crunch the data during this time period!
I transferred to Prevention and Support Services from Curriculum and Instruction to reduce Alabama's dropouts and increase the graduation rate! I could and achieved all the goals but technology was never my strong suit of knowledge! When Mary Nell started talking of retirement- I panicked as all that information was about to walk out the door! I asked her to work with me on a Data Code Manual. What a fabulous resource this document was and still serves as a "Bible", after a few updates with current requirements, for many in 2022! Her legacy lives on as the "Best" there was in technology and being service oriented in support of Alabama students and Educators. She will always have a special place in my heart, as I speak of her often!

I love you, Aunt Punkin! I'll miss you but I'm so glad I got to be a part of your family and spend these last years with you. Hugs and kisses to you in heaven, we'll all see you again one day <3
